FRANKFURT, Sept 21 (Reuters) - German truck maker MAN AG (MANG.DE: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) expects to sell a record number of trucks this year, beating last year's all-time high, a management-board member told German magazine Automobilwoche.

The company 'has very good chances' to sell 100,000 trucks in 2008 helped by its high order backlog, said Anton Weinmann, management board member of MAN AG, according to the magazine.

The company expects to save some 30 million euros ($43.52 million) from moving its bus production abroad and 'significantly' more than 10 million euros from merging the adminstration of trucks and buses, Weinman said, according to the magazine.
